Sarah McMillan has a varied background in fine arts. While her educational training focused on Old Master prints, she has a specialized knowledge of Contemporary, Modern and 19th Century prints. She has also handled other media, including paintings, photographs, and sculpture. At her day job at the auction house Everything but the House, she vets a hundreds of works of art a day, including work by artists such as Dali, Manet, Remington and Currier & Ives, among many others.
She started her career at Doyle New York in their appraisals department where she cataloged and edited estate tax appraisals. She transitioned her career in the e-commerce realm, now at Everything But the House, and previously as the curator at RubyLUX.com where she vetted antique and fine artworks listed on the site. She has also served as a consultant appraiser working for appraisal reports on Contemporary art.
She is an associate member of the Appraisers Association of America, and USPAP compliant through August 2018.
She has a personal interest in the works of female artists, around which she bases her own personal collection.
